Rethink Autism to offer online video series throughout April
By Staff Writer
Educational technology company Rethink Autism has announced that it will launch a new video series in April to recognize Autism Awareness Month.
The series, which is called Every Day Counts, Everyone Can Help, is designed for parents of children who suffer from the developmental disorder. The content will include research-based teaching strategies, an overview of autism and examples of early warning signs.
Past studies have shown that kids who receive early, intensive treatment for autism can make significant gains in their social behavior, language development and academic performance. Officials from Rethink Autism said that the video series offers helpful tips to parents. In addition, educators and caregivers can benefit from the online content.
Rethink Autism will also offer a free trial of its services for the entire month of April. Visitors can access video exercises and printable lesson plans. The content is based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), which is one of the most widely used treatments for autism.
Adolescents who have developmental disorders may benefit from boarding schools, many of which provide help for troubled teens.
